We start with HMO or PPO benefit designs and add episode allowances for up to half of medical spending.

Episode allowance levels are determined by the employer. Our standard offering sets allowances at the 70th or 80th percentile in a region, so most care groups will have guaranteed prices below the allowance level.

We only include episodes that are not emergency-related, so beneficiaries have plenty of time to review their options.

This also differs from narrow networks which may have lower premiums but potential for higher costs if care is sought outside of the network.

While narrow network plans restrict provider options, and RBP plans may limit access if providers refuse the plan, Episode Benefit Plans allow you to choose any provider, putting you in control of your healthcare.

Episode Benefit Plans address the lack of transparency in healthcare pricing by disclosing the range of guaranteed episode prices for various providers, empowering informed decisions. RBP plans, on the other hand, can be complex to understand, and do not always provide clear cost information.
